Membership
Membership is open to any person moving into the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) within the last five years or to others living in the CSRA who have had a major lifestyle change which enables them to now become an active club member. A major lifestyle change includes, but is not limited to, retirement, empty nest, separation, divorce or loss of spouse.
Prospective Members
Prospective Member Coffees are conducted at local coffee shops and coordinated by the hospitality chair. Members are encouraged to invite new friends and neighbors to attend these coffees which will enable them to meet others who are new to the area and to learn more about the club.

Annual Membership Requirements
Dues: Members must pay annual dues, currently $20 per year with a renewal deadline of 30 September. Renewals after 30 October will miss the print deadline for the Directory and will be asked to pay an additional $10 fee. Instructions for renewal will be posted on the web in June and included in the June newsletter.
Charity: Members must contribute to the club's annual fundraising project, either by donating an item for one of the fundraising auctions, purchasing something from one of the auctions or by donating money.
Voting: In order to maintain voting privileges, must attend at least one business meeting during the membership year (September to May).
Rules: Members must abide by all bylaws and standing rules. The Members Only section (Documents) includes the full Constitution, Bylaws and Standing Rules. For a summary of Standing Rules for prospective members, see below.
Member Information
All members should complete the Member Information Form annually (by September 30th for renewals) and mail with a check for $20 to the address listed on the form. Please contact Nancy Clayton, Membership Chairperson, at 706-414-3803 if you have any questions.
Standing Rules Summary
- Prospective members may attend 1 coffee and may attend only 1 activity and 1 meeting before paying dues.
- Only non-profit announcements will be made at meetings.
- Pamphlets, brochures, business cards or other personal literature shall not be distributed at meetings or activities except by the speaker of the day.
- No reservations will be accepted after the published deadline for luncheons.
- No smoking at any Newcomers function will be allowed.
- Personal information in club publications may not be used for promotion of business interests by members or shared with outside parties.
- Only members in good standing may attend activities.
- Members' spouses or children, where appropriate, may attend activities.
- Single members may bring a guest to any couples functions.
- Out of town guests are always welcome at any club function.
- No entry to any club function shall be allowed to anyone who exhibits inappropriate demeanor or offensive attire.
- Club activities should not be scheduled for the same time as monthly business/luncheon meetings or regularly scheduled board meetings.
