During our October meeting the membership selects a local charity to support. The monies from our fundraising activities are then formally presented to this charity in May. For 2007 - 2008 the selected charity is:

Fisher House at Fort Gordon

The Fisher House at Fort Gordon is used to provide temporary lodging for families of servicemen that are at Eisenhower hospital or in rehabilitation from wounds.  The house has capacity for seven families in private rooms with private baths..  There is no cost for the families to stay at the house unless expenditures exceed the budget, in which case families are charged. In the last fiscal year, 210 families were assisted, 85 from Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. The average length of stay is 12 days.

Our contribution will be used for supplies for the home.

Fort Gordon Christmas House

At our November business meeting members donated toys for the Fort Gordon Christmas House. We took some photos when dropping off the toys.
